Feds Delay ADA Deadline to January 2013

The feds have delayed ADA chair/lift compliance until January 2013. The requirement concerns making public swimming pools and spas accessable to disabled persons by providing lifts. The lifts need to be installed on an estimated 100,000 pools around the nation. This includes public pools, hotels, motels, apartment complexes and condos. The reason for the additional delay is because there is confusion about the requirement and because the manufacturers of lifts can not keep up with demand.
